Enoshima’s skatepark

I went to Enoshima's skatepark on a weekend a while back. The place was packed with youngsters, and I was surprised by how skilled they were.

It all became clear at the Olympic's qualification, where Japan secured triple podiums for both men & women. (Yes, you read that right — gold, silver AND bronze, for both men AND women). The level here is so high that the previous gold medalist from the Tokyo Olympics didn't even qualify for Paris. As of time of writing, Japanese women just secured the gold and silver medals at the Paris Olympics.

You might notice the absence of shadows in the photos. The overcast weather caused the clouds to act as a natural diffuser. It feels somewhat surreal, similar to the conditions created by studio lighting.
